It’s harvest season, hurrah! I do love the vibrancy of summer, but autumn really does it for me. Long cosy nights in front of the fire, big hearty dinners and crunchy walks around forest parks – yes, I’m a Tyrone country girl, that’s for sure! If you’ve chosen to get married during this, the season to be thankful, today I have just the perfect accent to add to your wedding floral arrangements; berries. Sure, we all know a well dressed pumpkin works well in a rustic setting but I say, forget Mr pumpkin this time, it’s touches of the Irish wilderness you need to be adding to your blooms to really make them stunning. Here are a few of my favourite arrangements with added berry-niceness.
Berries not only look great but these little charmers are available in all shapes, sizes and colours. Just think of blackberry bushes with their jewel toned fruits or vibrant red hypericum berries, these make the perfect filler for your bouquet. Berries will add an interesting twist to your floral arrangements, and even if you’re not getting married during the autumn months, they look great all year round!
