Hello. That’s an icy cold morning! What you need is a lovely autumnal engagement shoot to warm up, so it’s a good job you dropped by! Thanks to Photography by Marc Lawson for sharing Ciara and Neils session with us.
Our love story:
“Neil and I met while we were both at University over eight years ago, I was studying at Queens, whilst Neil was in Jordanstown.”
The big question:
“Neil took me totally by surprise! We were away for the weekend at Solis Lough Eske last March and on the way home decided to stop off in Bundoran to walk Roguey – a cliff walk that we have walked many times together as we both lived in Donegal a few years ago. As we reached the grassy cliff edge Neil suggested sitting to watch the surfers down in the waves below. I sat down and after a while I wondered why Neil was so keen on watching the surfers that day (little did I know he was waiting for passers-by to move on!) Neil got up and I thought we were heading on but as I stood up I watched him go down on one knee. Neil had taken one of my rings from my jewellery box without my knowledge and proposed with it. We then went together to pick the ring in Belfast the following week. We picked the ring in Steensons as we had bought jewellery there before and like the fact that the ring was designed and made here in Northern Ireland.”
Our E Shoot:
“Marc is very laid back and made us feel totally at ease. I was sort of dreading the shoot to be honest but on the day we actually had loads of fun and both of us enjoyed it! We wanted to get to know him so that we could be at ease on our wedding day. We especially wanted to have an Autumn shoot as we are getting married in September and thought it would be nice to have some photos of us one year before our wedding.”
Our wedding plans:
“We are getting married in September 2015 and have all of the main things booked, so that we can relax and enjoy the engagement. I love all the pretty things that come with a wedding and have been taking inspiration from wedding blogs; I especially enjoy real life weddings as they give an insight into other couples big days.”
