Good morning! I can’t quite believe it’s Wednesday already, these weeks are flying by at an incredible rate, pity the weather wouldn’t catch up, eh?! Today we’re sharing the sweet and natural engagement session of Jemma and Steven, who agree that having a pre-wedding shoot was a jolly good idea and helped them get used to the camera for their big day. Big thanks to Simon of Shoot For The Moon for sharing their shots with us.
Our love story
“Steven was working for a local take away restaurant and I was friends with the owner. We started talking if I was down at the shop while he was working and after a month or so we had grown very close and realised we wanted to be together.”
“Steven had been out all day ‘helping his grandparents.’ In the afternoon he picked me up to go and collect his daughter from my mums. Instead he took me to Crawfordsburn Country Park for a walk. When we reached a bench looking out over the sea we sat down and he took a ring out of his pocket and nervously asked if I would marry him. I was shocked and replied, “yeah, why not.” Apparently he had been ring shopping all day with my mum.”
Our engagement shoot
“Our photographer Simon offered us an engagement shoot as part of the package to help us get used to him taking photos of us. Just as well as we are both camera shy! Crawfordsburn seemed the natural place to have it since we got engaged there. Simon was brilliant, he really helped us feel relaxed and joked around and took plenty of time with us.”
“We got married on 2nd June 2015. All the stress of planning it (we left everything last minute) was worth it and we had a fantastic day. Now we just can’t wait to see all the photos!”
