Hello! If you’re anything like me and live your life by the school calendar you’ll also be amazed at how fast May is flying through! I’ll take busy if it means the weather is going to be lovely for the foreseeable – doesn’t it make life all the most pleasant?
Today we’re sharing a beautiful wedding day by Adam and Grace Photography. Katie and Stephen met at school and have been together ever since. Their day was full of charm and beautiful details including stunning florals from The Promise recommended supplier, Ditsy Floral Design.
Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
Couple: Katie + Stephen Aiken
“We met at school, we were both 18, and have been together ever since!”
“We got engaged in New York, across the Brooklyn Bridge when we were overlooking the whole city from across the water.”
Wedding date: Saturday 24th March 2018
Ceremony: Ballymore Parish Church, Tandragee
Reception: Manor House Country Hotel, Kiladeas
“We had a year and nearly four months to plan. We were both super relaxed and organised everything pretty early on so we could enjoy the lead up to it.
Choosing a beautiful venue was our top priority. We wanted somewhere that all our guests could stay over if they wished, and where the food was amazing. I also knew I wanted to get married in the spring time, and thankfully the weather on our wedding day was beautiful.”
“I definitely had a rustic theme in mind and wanted to keep everything very earthy. I wanted everyone, including myself and groom, to feel very relaxed and to enjoy our day. I was very organised and made sure I did as much as a could as early as I could so nothing was last minute and I spent the week before the wedding relaxing and catching up with friends and family. On the day there was lots of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. We had a small macaroon station with Prosecco arrival to the venue. I also had a DIY table plan made from three apple crates and twine.”
“My dress was by Justin Alexander from Pronuptia in Belfast. It was very flowy and had an enchanting look. Choosing it was not as easy as I had imaged, I was quite indecisive. It was between the one I chose or a long sleeve fitted dress by Pronovias.”
“Don’t stress the small stuff, it all works out in the end. And definitely be well organised to have a more enjoyable experience. Enjoy every minute of it including the build up because before you know it, it’s all over and it really is the best time of your life.”
