I can tell Melissa had lots of fun with these two jokers!
If like me, your Monday got off to a very wet start (soggy toes anyone?!) Meadhbh and Jason’s fun lakeside engagement shoot is just want you need to put a smile back on your face. Thanks to Melissa J Photography for sending this little hit of happiness our way.
Our love story:
“Jason is my brothers best friend, so I’ve know him (and admired him!) for a long time. During a weekend away at my parent’s house is Clones he plucked up the courage to ask me out. I laughed and didn’t respond but then later gave in, sneaked out of the house and really we haven’t looked back since! I knew it was for life after Jason was there for me through a very tough time in my life. Making it through that made us realise that we were meant to be together.”
The big question:
“Years later after a five month trip around the world Jason collected me from the airport- I’d been travelling for two days, had little sleep and wasn’t at my best so I was gobsmacked when he presented me with a bunch of flowers and a card saying ‘will you marry me?’ Just like when he first asked me out, I laughed and walked out of the airport, but here we are planning our wedding so I did say yes, eventually! Jason had my ring flown in from New York. I had saw the ring of my dreams on the MDC New York website but Jason couldn’t find anything locally that was like it, so he ordered the original and had it made to his specifications.”
Our E shoot:
“Melissa is an amazing photographer. Jason and I were very comfortable. She is great at what she does, and produces amazing pictures very naturally. Our engagement shoot was part of our package and we thought it would be a good idea as we are both quite awkward in front of the camera. Location wise, it was handy to where we live, but mostly it is right next to our wedding venue and is a beautiful location.”
Our wedding plans:
“We are getting married next June, 12th in St Patrick’s Church, Saul with the reception in Ballydugan Mill, Downpatrick. The planning has been interesting but yes, we are thoroughly enjoying the experience, and really looking forward to our honeymoon.”
Good luck with your wedding planning guys, I know you’ll have a blast!
