Wow, I just love this engagement shoot! Derelict buildings, especially one as majestic and impending as the Old Mill in Gilford make great backdrops, and are a photographers dream! Childhood sweethearts, Lynsey and Aarron live in Portadown and have three kids, so after thirteen years together the couple were very ready to get married this past Friday, September 12th. Thanks to Melissa J Photography for sharing this gem with us.
Our love story:
“We both went to the same high school and had mutual friends and became boyfriend and girlfriend in early 2000. We can’t really say there was a particular moment when we knew it was for life, it just always felt right even at such a young age.”
“We originally got engaged in October 2001, with only being 17 lets just say it wasn’t the most romantic of proposals! Sadly when my Dad passed in October 2002 we both found it very hard to plan anything without him being here with us. On my birthday, 16th August 2013 Aarron proposed again with a nice new shiny ring and even got down on one knee this time! Within two weeks I had my dress and the bridesmaid dresses and had started to book and organise everything – it was now or never this time!!”
Our Wedding Day:
“Our wedding is on Friday 12the September with the ceremony in Belfast City Hall and the reception in the Merchant Hotel. We are really excited about the day and sharing it with all our family and friends.”
I’ve already caught a sneak peek at Lynsey & Aarrons day and it looked fabulous!
