Did you have a good weekend? We were on a mission in Westport for the last two days, to say it rained would be an understatement, but we had a lovely time away as a family. Today we’re welcoming Natalie and Robert back to the blog – you can see and read about their engagement session here. Thanks to Bradley Henderson from Bradley Photography for sharing their gorgeous wedding at Dunadry Hotel with us.
Pretty soon after they got engaged Natalie and Robert started planning their summer wedding for June, 20th. After looking at a few venues they fell win love with Dunadry Hotel; “I wanted everything to be soft colours, chic and have a little touch of vintage so the room was perfect after a lot of detail went in thanks to the lovely Melanie at Mood Events,” said Natalie.
With a soft and romantic feel to their day, Natalie’s choice of wedding gown was spot on. Having literally no idea of what she wanted she visited Vintage Rose in Randalstown and found the one.
“I didn’t really know what I wanted. At first I had been to a few appointments and thought I was never going to find my dream dress. After having an appointment with Julie-Anne I found my stunning wedding dress, she made me feel so welcome and comfortable picking dresses that she knew would be perfect for me. Seeing the reaction from my mum and bridesmaids, I knew it was the one,” added Natalie.
Robert had an easy job of kitting out his grooms party as he knew exactly the look he was after. Their classic slim fit three piece blue suits were hired from The Wedding Centre in Randalstown and finished with a simple rose buttonhole by florist, Tortraits Floral Design.
“Our wedding day really was the best day of our live,s we both had such an amazing day and loved every second. It really is tough trying to pick one highlight from the day but for me would have to me the surprise act that Robert arranged for me, Fiddler Adam! Everyone had so much fun, it really was a great day,” said Natalie.
Music and entertainment were an important aspect of their wedding day and Natalie and Robert had plenty to make sure their guests were entertained. “We had Clara Wilson sing during the ceremony, Rodney Beggs sang at the drinks reception and Platinum kept our guests entertained in the evening,” explained Natalie.
Enjoy every second, and have fun organising your big day! I loved every second of planning our day and the time spent with family and friends on the day.
