Hello lovely readers. I come this morning with all the warm and fuzzies of a pretty real wedding that is filled with love and joy. I’m not sure what it is – the friendly and welcoming people, the stunning lakeside scenery, or maybe it’s just a magical element Fermanagh has- but I always find any couples from this county throw the most beautiful of wedding days that are filled with warmth and happiness.
So, todays magical couples are Tiffiny and Ryan – they were married last June and held their reception on the waters edge at Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel. Erica Irvine Photography was the lady behind the camera, along with one of her favourite team mates, Bob Lyons from Lyons Digital Productions.
Tiffany and Ryan didn’t live very far from each other growing up and knew of each other (which is totally an NI thing, yes?!) but met officially just before the Christmas of 2011. After a few months together it was obvious they were great for each other and Ryan proposed with a Haribo ring during a night at the Lough Erne Golf Resort. “He had planned to propose during dinner but the waitress took his jacket to hang up which had the ring in the pocket and he was too nervous to go and ask for it! After dinner we went to the bar and had a cocktail and that’s when he passed me a wee box, inside was a Haribo ring and heart sweet. He asked me to marry him, I said yes and the rest is history!” said Tiffiny.
Throughout the planning of their early summer wedding, Ryan was involved and help with the decision making on all aspects, expect of course Tiffiny’s wedding dress.
“We wanted a simple and elegant day that was fun for our guests. We decided to dedicate a larger portion of our budget to entertainment and had Manouche Swing band during the day and Justin McGurk and The Boogie Men for the evenings entertainment,” added Tiffiny.
Naturally beautiful, Tiffiny found her perfect wedding dress with ease during her first bridal appointment, which was at Serendipity Bridal Boutique in Fivemiletown – it was the second dress she tried on! Her four bridesmaids, Debbie, Emma, Amy0Louse and Brooke, along with her junior maid, Kendal wore soft pink-lilac dresses handmade by Arlene Ferguson, The Sewing Rooms. The dresses featured a statement bow on the back and wonderfully complimented the floral print Ted Baker shoes. The girls carried elegant bouquets of white hydrangea created by Clare Flower, Irvinestown.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better day, well maybe more time! Just before the ceremony started the church organ broke! I met my brother on the way back home for a screwdriver, luckily our usher was an electrician and he got it going! The day exceeded expectations, however our friend Ivan Kee took us to the Killyhevlin in his cruiser which was lovely,” added Tiffiny.
