Hello Wednesday, so nice to see you and all your middle-of-the-week-ness!
It’s always lovely to share familiar faces on the blog and I’m giddy with excitement to kick off today with Claire and Andrews engagement shoot by Marc Lawson. Claire, photographer, Marc and I went to school together, a little while ago!
Claire and Andrew look stunning in the frosty morning light of Dungannon Park, I just love this shoot.
Our Love Story
“Andrew and I met whilst we were both studying at Liverpool John Moores University, I had stalked him for a couple of years, so it does pay off Ladies!”
“We have been going out for over five years and we have lived abroad for three of those years, so I knew it would happen one day but I genuinely did not know! And I don’t know how I didn’t realise, as I have a way of finding things out! But we flew home from Liverpool late October last year for the weekend and on the Saturday morning Andrew was up early. Little did I know that he was asking my Daddy for my hand in marriage (which he happily agreed to). It was a beautiful day and Andrew wanted to go to Carrick-a –Rede rope bridge, I however did not as I am petrified of heights and I told him I thought it was closed. So we went for a drive along the coast and decided to go down into Ballintoy Harbour, we walked out along the pier until we came to the rocks and Andrew took the lead, being a typical boy I thought he was just walking out to look for crabs in the rock pools. The setting was beautiful, a rain shower had just passed and there were two rainbows, and Andrew got down on one knee and I burst out crying and said yes. Needless to say we then ended up going across the rope bridge. My ring is a traditional Tiffany style cut round diamond set in 4 points on a platinum band and I absolutely adore it, it is so sparkly and I always catch myself staring at it.”
Our Engagement Shoot
“Marc was highly recommended to us by my relatives in the wedding industry. We chose Dungannon Park as I am from Dungannon and we both wanted to have a winter setting for our engagement photos. Marc was a pleasure to work with; I went to school with him so I was already pretty relaxed around him. His photos are very natural and genuine; you wouldn’t even know he was there.”
Our Wedding Plans
“We are still in the early stages of planning but we are thinking May 2016 in the Fermanagh Lakelands area. I am thoroughly enjoying the process and poor Andrew is being dragged all over Northern Ireland but he is embracing it and using it a sightseeing tour!”
Best wishes with your wedding plans, Claire and Andrew, I just know it will be one very stylish day, packed with fun!
